Cakes are custom made to order in my professional cakery kitchen in Cambridge City, Cambridgeshire. Therefore making the whole caking experience friendly, professional and fun. It is where the creating of your wedding, birthday, all celebration cakes and cupcakes takes place.

Bespoke cake designs available to order for all of your special occasions within the Cambridge area, including Milton, Cambourne, Histon, Girton and all surrounding villages including delivery to Ely.

Wedding/civil ceremony cakes :- single tiered cakes, wedding cupcakes to more elaborate embellished cakes.

Cakes 2 Party 4 can also provide novel designed cakes as well as number/numeral cakes being ever popular.

The cakes I make are home made and hand decorated. They are all made fresh for every order.
Cakes are baked as near to your collection date as possible. Ensuring freshness but, allowing time to work on them.
All maderia cakes are made within the week of collection.
The only exception being fruit cakes, requiring a different time scale to work with.

I like working with your ideas to design the cakes. Making bespoke designs based on interests, hobbies, favourite teams are a good start.

Flavour of cake?

At cakes2party4, we tend to cater for larger parties, with celebration cakes being of the more traditional feel.
The most popular cake flavours being vanilla, chocolate cakes, fruit cake is still called for and due to last minute orders, I now soak fruit for a week and bake closer to the date.
Upcoming flavours are vanilla with choc chip, lemon cake...There is a list on the order/contact form. If you don't see a flavour please ask as there are new flavourings and ideas being marketed.

Style of cake?

You can have a cake ranging from 6" to 14"
either one tier or tiered cakes are available for order.

Wedding/civil ceremony cakes don't always have to be lavish affairs with huge price tags. I am happy to take commisions for one tier cakes or cupcakes, of course I do like a challenge and stacked wedding cakes always bring those.

Cake stands are available to hire if required. These are subject to availability.

Special dietary required cake?

I am able to make cakes for special diets, these may have traces in them so therefore cannot be called allergy free...also as I buy in my ingredients again I cannot say they are 100% free.

However I do low gluten, using dove flour, a separate mixer and bowl to the one I use for non low gluten cakes, the margarine I use is a cake margarine that has no dairy in it, vegan cakes are all available to order.

Confused?

Call and ask me, this is written to keep in with the guidlines of Environmental Health. Stringent regular tests need to be made for Gluten free.

I can class the cakes as low gluten, although never having a probem previously I am happy to comply with the guidlines set out by Environmental Health.

Photo cakes

I also print toppers that are edible for company logo's and to put photograph's on to cakes.

If you have a son/daughter at university I am able to make their birthday/celebration cakes and have them delivered to Porters Lodge. This is an extremely popular service that I provide.

I am happy for you to email or post a picture of a cake to me, however I find it difficult to recreate a cake exactly.
To tell the truth I can't even recreate my own work exactly.

Two weeks before the collection date is my preferred time frame for ordering. Although I am able to make celebration cakes at shorter notice sometimes, so please always enquire.

This is to ensure your sugarcraft models and decorations can be made and dried in time, the majority of models need to be made in stages.

Need your cake delivered?

I have recently found a courier who is able to do some out of town deliveries, including Impington, Histon, Cottenham, Ely, Girton, as well as Milton, Dry Drayton, Bar Hill and Cambridges other surrounding villages and Fenlands, as well as Cambourne.

Depending on his schedule I may even be able to deliver to St Neots.

He is very trusted with your cakes.

I always check delivery is available before taking an order. I am also flexible with out of hours collection where I can be.

Cupcakes may be an alternative if time is really short or I am fully booked.

The bouquets make a lovely gift for all occasions, including Mother's day, Easter, Fathers day, Valentines. These are available in a 7 or 19 bouquet.

Consultations are available on request, as I know it is important to have one to one contact especially for wedding/civil ceremony cakes.
I can also make a cake tasting sample if you wish to try some, easing your mind even more before your celebration.

I have a wide range of cakery skills, including making and working with royal icing. A more traditional look can be for cakes. Please view my gallery for a selection of up to date pictures.

Your call is important to me, but sometimes I am working on a cake or being a mum so please leave a message on my answer machine, or use the order form on the website.

I will try to reply all enquiries within 24 hours unless it is out of hours or I am on annual leave. If your order is quite short notice I are more likely to accomodate your order if you call rather than email.

with a range of complimentary butter cream fillings including white chocolate vanilla butter cream, chocolate butter cream, lush lemon butter cream to name a few.

New flavourings such as strawberry, popcorn etc...are coming out as is new flavours of cake to make such as red velvet, which I have recently mastered.
